New Dan’s Comp team race recruit Tyler Faoro held court at the Orlando FLA USA BMX track last weekend and here’s a report.
“Orlando BMX hosted a Pro open event over the weekend. Orlando has been one of my favorite tracks for years now, so I decided to head up there for the day to check it out and race! As usual, Orlando BMX put on a great show.
In terms of who made it out there, a few factory teams were set up and there were riders from all over the state. One of the best announcers from the SSA,”Gracie”, was there keeping both the fans and riders pumped up and the energy high throughout the entire event.
I felt great around the track. I started off well, and went 1,1,1 in the qualifying rounds. For the Finals, I had first lane selection, so I decided to go with lane 8. I got a great start and rode a near perfect lap to come out with the overall win!
I’d like to give a huge thanks to Orlando BMX for putting on the race. The level of hospitality that they showed us was unmatched. If all goes as planned, they will be hosting a few more events similar to this one in the near future, of which I would be happy to attend!
